The company was formed in 1952 by Emilio and Faustino Bravi, who opened the first coffee tasting and selling point in one of the historical areas of Rome. After a short while they had four shops and had become coffee wholesalers.
In 1982 the company was taken over by Ettore and Francesco Ciravegna. The family have a great tradition in the green coffee world. All the operators in the sector remember Aldo and his son Gianni with great esteem and respect who, for many years managed with success the Ciravegna brand, which was imported from the best plantation in the world.
Gianni’s sons Ettore and Francesco, the first with his experience in the green coffee market and the second who has an entrepreneurial attitude, are on a higher plain in the coffee chain, from importing to roasting, as coffee producer.
In 1998 the company was transferred from the historical base in Rome to the industrial area of Monterotondo, just outside the city.
Between September 2003 and September 2005, the second generation of the Ciravegna family (Gianni and Valeria) entered into the company; during this period they developed the coffee pods sector and exports, both representing today a huge percent of annual turnover.
The “Bravi” coffee producer has fifteen employees on its staff; the four family members make up the leadership.
Many things are chanced during more than half century of history while ever the same is the passion for coffee and the wish to grow and improve of the company on step at a time has been a winning strategy since 1982.
